Vocational Training
Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Education and Welfare Society, Dhad has organized vocational training courses to the educated unemployed youths distressed deserted women. Under this programme, the organization has imparted vocational training to women and girls to Dhad in Tailoring, Cutting, Sewing, Knitting, Embroidery, Agarbatti, Chalk manufacturing, Handicraft training, etc. to the educated unemployment girls, distressed, deserted and destitute women, guided for their better economic development. The said ventures are proved to be very beneficial for the development of girls and women. This is important to get training in the relevant trades and to become self-support and self-reliant to lead their life independently.
Health Check-up And Free Treatment Camp
Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Education and Welfare Society, Dhad has arranged 5 health checkups and treatment camps in Nandra, Soegaon, Jamthi, Madh and Dhad with the cooperation of PHC Medical Office and other Private Medical Practitioner, assisted by the Gram Panchyate Members. Earlier our social workers distributed leaflets regarding place and date of Camp so as to utilize the medical facilities by the rural community in a large number. Free medicines were provided with proper guidance. During this camp lectures and guidance were given to Antenatal Cases for safe and intentional deliveries. We also organize health camps in schools and junior colleges
Pulse Polio Awareness
Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Education and Welfare Society, Dhad has undertaken awareness and motivation programme in 5 slum area of proper Dhad City about Pulse Polio for under 5 years children. Mass and group meetings were conducted for motivating the parents for regular immunization services for the prevention of diseases. On the day of programme our social workers referred 183 children from near about areas.
Prevention And Control Of AIDS
This progrmme was organized independently by implementing IEC Activities by our NGO, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Education and Welfare Society. We have arranged a Rally for creating Awareness among the slum area community with the cooperation of local School Students and Community Members from Dhad where we have imparted knowledge of deadly diseases along with AIDS and also methods of its control with knowledge through the posters and attractive banners. During this Rally 462 boys and girls participated. At the end of the programme, lectures were delivered by the Local Doctors.
Games And Sports
A lot of activities were organized in Chikhli, Dhad, Motala and in Dewalgaon Raja for Youths (Boys and Girls) by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Education and Welfare Society. During this programme lectures on personality development, development of leadership qualities, development of health status, games and sports tournaments were also conducted. The prize distribution function was also arranged for the winners in each item. During this programme 380 youths (Boys and Girls) were actively involved in these programmes. Role of the Local schools, Municipality, and Mahila Mandal was highly appreciable for the success of these programmes.
Blood Group Examination
Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Education and Welfare Society try to motivate people in donating blood. To provide Medical Aid to the needy community members for blood donation awareness campaign was arranged in 5 villages of Dhad Block. During the campaign, we have examined Blood Group of School going 320 students. Local formal and informal leaders were very much interested in making the programme success.
Computer Training Program
To provide technical guidance and skill development among youths (Boys and Girls) Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Education and Welfare Society has arranged a short term computer training programme at Buldana for 40 youths in two batches with the help of trained staff.
Health Education Campaign for Personal hygiene & Nutrition
With the cooperation of PHC Staff, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Education and Welfare Society has organized the students (6 villages) in Buldana and Dhad Block. In this programme, 865 students were covered. Health and School Staff delivered the lectures on health and sanitation, nutrition, healthy habits, etc. to lead a healthy and happy life.
Social Service Camps
To create inspiration in youth and to increase feelings for social work, the volunteers of the organization along with students from our schools participated in social service camps in the slum area of Dhad. During these camps, 85 youths participated to whom we have guided for about sanitation, disposal of solid and liquid waste, changing nature of the surrounding area, the cleaning of the roads. All youths took an active role in improving the sanitation condition of the villages.
Education & Awareness Campaign for Health & Family Planning in Rural Area
On this serious problem of the population, the organization has arranged mass and group meetings in 6 villages of Dhad Block. During this programme, lectures were delivered and group meetings also conducted by the social workers and health experts from Dhad. In the last
Video Show was also arranged for a clear understanding of the population problem concept and family welfare programme including the RCH Programme. During this programme 215 women were present. There was active participation from the audience.
Tree Plantation
In 5 villages of Motala Block, our organization has organized awareness programme among Rural Community through the help of local leaders about environment and significance of trees. In the High school by the President of the organization along with Sarpanch, GP Members and Teachers 195 trees were planted. This Programme was very effective in creating awareness about a healthy environment.
Mahila Cultural Programs
At the implementation of various programmes by society, we have arranged various cultural programmes. Drama, orchestra, dance, and other programmes have been managed to motivate the people on the Health aspect. As such cultural programmes have been undertaken in the high schools, colleges campus of Dhad to perform such types of programmes through other social programmes (Haldi Kumkum) for Mahila also. We have developed good relations among different communities. We have got a good response from 865 rural community members.
